About Us Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.
The Opportunity With strong growth in our Brisbane Remanufacturing branch, we are currently on the lookout for an experienced and mechanically minded Trades Assistant to join our Service Department.
This is a permanent, day shift position based at our Wacol branch.
Shift Times: Monday - Friday: 6am - 2pm or 9 day fornight roster available Key responsibilities in this role include: Maintaining a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections Forklift Operation - Loading, unloading trucks & moving components Assisting Tradesmen to disassemble components in line with procedures when required Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment Assisting in stores control including receiving and dispatch of remanufactured equipment and products Conducting your work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and procedures Blasting & painting a variety of machine components About You To be successful in this role, you will need: Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learn Have the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults Current Forklift License A strong safety focus Ability to work flexible hours/shifts and overtime when required Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team Committed to delivering Hitachi's promise of Total Customer Satisfaction Benefits - What's in it for you?
