Trades Assistant - HR truck license and forklift Location: Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (9-Day Fortnight)
UGL's Maintenance and Manufacturing business is growing, and we are excited to expand our Mining Components Division based in Broadmeadow, Newcastle. We are looking for a motivated and proactive Trades Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis, offering a great opportunity to work within a leading industry environment.
About the Role: Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will work alongside our trades team in the mining components division, assisting with component assembly and maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for someone with experience or a strong interest in heavy industry components work. This role requires a valid Forklift ticket and HR truck license.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the disassembly and assembly of components, including overhauls
Complete and maintain quality documentation.
Support trades with various tasks, including cleaning and inspecting
Operate Forklift trucks from 5t to 25t.
Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Operate 13T site truck for routine deliveries and pickups
About You: We are seeking a team player with strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to learn on the job. Key qualifications and experience include:
Essential:
Forklift Licence
HR Truck Licence
Desirable:
Competency in overhead/gantry crane operation
Dogging and rigging experience
Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or Labourer in a heavy industry environment
Wash bay operation experience
