Plant Operator

Plant Operator -Full Time Permanent Day shift – Some afternoon shifts. Operating as a world leading manufacturer and exporter of glass materials and chemical products globally, we are a successful organisation that is well known for its quality branded products and passion for innovation. 
Currently, there is a vacancy for a full-time permanent day shift operator and some afternoon shifts, at our chemical processing facility in Chipping Norton, Sydney, NSW. 
Your role is to operate the plant safely, monitoring the process to ensure quality and production requirements are met. This role will ideally suit someone with previous chemical plant batching operations.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or have a Permanent Residential status in Australia. Key responsibilities:
- Operate the plant in a safe manner, with timely communication between shifts
-Monitor and report product quality as per testing schedule, quality control and finished product testing
- Report plant problems and ensure timely response from the maintenance team
- Communicate effectively all plant issues 
-Monitor plant equipment and identify and report problems
-Conduct routine maintenance and maintain plant in a clean and tidy condition.
- Fill out operation data into excel spreadsheet plant logs.
Must have:
Right to work in Australia: permanent resident or Australian Citizen
Must have current driver's licence and forklift licence.
