Come shape our future with us and make a real and lasting impact across our teams.Your opportunity:We have an opportunity for a Trade Waste Officer to join our Environmental & Industrial Group.The role will see you providing a service to commerce and industry for the management of trade waste at source that ensures sustainable conveyance, treatment and disposal of trade waste.You will need to work independently to negotiate and manage trade waste customer contracts in your area of responsibility, provide expert advice to customers and ensure trade waste approval conditions are applied fairly and equitably in accordance with Urban Utilities policies. Your key responsibilities will include:Conduct audit assignments, develop plans, deliver fieldwork, and report findings to drive corrective actions.Deliver specialized support and service to customers, maintaining relationships and resolving complex queries.Offer specialist guidance on policies and procedures, resolving queries and escalating complex issues.Provide high-quality service, identify business opportunities, and address customer problems.Manage small project workstreams within defined parameters, adhering to project management methodology.Investigate and provide expert advice on standard and non-routine incidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.About you:We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:Tertiary qualification in a science, engineering or environment related field, relevant experience, or transferable compliance and interpersonal skills.An ability to develop meaningful partnerships with stakeholders in the business to achieve positive outcomes.The role requires close contact with raw wastewater.
