About the role: We are seeking a Trade Qualified Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic, either Full-Time or Casual to join our team. This role offers a chance to work in an environment where quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction are at the heart of what we do.
Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles including 4x4s and emergency service vehiclesPerform timing belt replacements, driveline repairs and brake and front end servicing and repairs.Conduct basic auto-electrical diagnostic and installation tasks.Maintain accurate records of all work performed.Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes.Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify faults in engines and automotive parts.Skillfully dismantle, inspect, and assess engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other critical components.Perform high-quality repairs or replacements of worn or defective parts, followed by meticulous reassembly.Carry out regular maintenance services including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle efficiency and adhere to environmental standards.Utilize diagnostic tools and computer software to accurately test and adjust mechanical systems after repairs.Participate in ongoing training and use of modern equipment to stay abreast of industry advancements.Perform safety and reliability inspection of vehicles and prepare them for roadworthiness certifications.Our goal is to work with the customer to eliminate downtime caused by repairsAbout you: Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive mechanics.Holds a minimum AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Automotive or equivalent.Must hold a valid Queensland Drivers Licence.Exhibits strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of workmanship.Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of explaining complex issues in understandable terms.Ability to search for and order parts via online portals.Job Types: Full-time, Casual
