Job Opportunity: Track Operations and Surveying Assistant Queensland Rail are currently working on a vast range of infrastructure projects across our business, this is an exciting time to join with great opportunities like this becoming available.
We are looking for a Track Operations and Surveying Assistant to assist the Team Leader Survey to undertake their duties through track access planning, surveying administrative support and other various support tasks.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
This role will have a mix of tasks including:
Track Access Planning: Booking train notices, protection officers. Safety and Fatigue Administration: Fatigue audits, managing the surveying safe working method statement, and other documentation. Vehicle and Survey Equipment Management: Plan and manage inspection and maintenance schedules. General Administration Activities: Timesheets, team travel, maintaining asset registers via EAMS, and other general administrative tasks. In Field Activities: Accurate measuring, data recording, and ground marking duties under the direction of the Supervising Surveyor. What we are looking for: This is a great opportunity for someone who has knowledge and/or experience within a Surveying environment.
Candidates who are savvy with technology and able to quickly adapt to learning new systems or currently have experience using SAP or similar EAM Systems are preferred.
Excel spreadsheeting skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Suite applications are also required.

Qualifications and Other Application Requirements: Must hold a current and unrestricted Drivers Licence.
Due to the timeline of the requirements for this role, we will only be able to accept candidates with unrestricted eligibility to be employed within Queensland.
Hours/Conditions of Work and Location: This role works 76 hours per fortnight over a 9-day roster, including rostered weekend work and opportunities for approved paid overtime as per our current enterprise agreements.
The office is located close to the Brisbane Airport; however, this role will also have field-based requirements.
You can also expect to be exposed to outdoor conditions, standing and walking for long periods around sites.
Majority of our sites are located within our Southeast Queensland rail network, but there may also be occasional requirements to travel to our Queensland regional sites.
