Mount Gambier Racing Club Inc www.mountgambierracing.com.au DESCRIPTION TRACK MANAGER The Mount Gambier Racing Club Inc (MGRC) is currently seeking a full-time Track Manager to join and lead our team.
This role is responsible for leading the management, preparation, and maintenance of both the racing (turf) and training (turf and sand) tracks along with the upkeep of the club's grounds and facilities.
Suitable candidates must have a strong and pro-active work ethic, exceptional time management, communication, and leadership skills.
Applicants must have proven experience in maintaining turf sporting surfaces, developing, planning, and reporting trackwork and maintenance programs.
An understanding of sand-based tracks and Toro NSN sprinkler systems will be highly regarded, but not essential.
Formal qualifications in Turf Management or a Horticulture-related discipline is preferred.
The role includes a fully paid work vehicle separate from the advertised salary.
The MGRC conducts 11-12 meetings per year with the Track Manager being crucial to the success of the meetings.
Most meetings are conducted mid-week; however, working on weekend race meetings will also be required.
