Waratah-Wynyard Council has an exciting opportunity available for a Town Planner to support our growing municipality. Based in Wynyard, the Town Planner role carries out statutory and strategic planning functions and provides clear advice to stakeholders on matters relating to planning applications.
This is a permanent full-time position working 75 hours over a 9-day fortnight.
To be successful in this role you will have: Completion of relevant tertiary qualifications with extensive experience in town planning or related discipline, acceptable for membership to the Planning Institute of Australia as a Town Planner.Strong knowledge of relevant planning legislation, planning schemes and associated statutory processes and procedures.Highly developed analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills; and a demonstrated ability to produce thorough and well-researched reports and correspondence.The full Position Description is available for download in the Forms section below.
