Role Overview:
The Head of Risk and Governance is a key senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving the organisation's risk management, governance, assurance, and contract management teams. This role ensures that PGL operates in a risk-conscious, ethical, and compliant manner, with risk management practices embedded into daily operations and strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and senior leadership and play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust governance framework that aligns with PGL's objectives, to safeguard the organisation's reputation and operational efficiency by mitigating risks, enhancing control effectiveness, and ensuring transparent, legal and ethical governance practices.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Law, Finance, or a related field. Experience in senior risk and governance roles, preferably within the not-for-profit, government, or similar sectors. Knowledge and experience applying Risk & Governance frameworks and standards. Proven experience working with boards, committees, and senior executives. Mandatory requirements:
Current unrestricted driver's licence relevant to the location in which this role is based. State-wide travel as required to meet business needs. Provision of a satisfactory National or International Police Check as required. Provision of Working with Vulnerable People registration with a NDIS endorsement. Provision of a satisfactory pre–employment medical report.
