Our team has led the planning and design of city-shaping projects including HOTA, Walker Breakwater, Pimpama Sports Hub, Southport Yacht Club, Surf Lakes Yeppoon, and the Port of Gladstone.

This is a role for a full-time local experienced Town Planner, who will be responsible for the development of client relationships and project management, delivering on time and on budget to achieve successful, people-driven outcomes.
The role will have a diverse approach, working across local and regional projects.
You will focus on client management, project delivery, and analysis of legislations, in addition to preparation and lodgement of applications.
Coupled with this technical capability, you will have great communication skills, a strong level of self-motivation, and local knowledge.
The areas you will work across will include:
Development of Strong Client RelationshipsProject management and team coordinationPreparation of development applicationsUndertaking planning assessment, investigation, and analysis of QLD legislation, guidelines, and related documentation for a range of project typesPreparation of tenders, proposals, and submissionsEssential Experience / Attributes: Tertiary qualification in town planningMin.
6 years industry experienceLocal Gold Coast (or SEQ) planning and development knowledgeExperience with Development Assessment timeframes and processes, under the Planning Act 2016 as well as other relevant legislationProject management experienceHigh level written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work autonomously and within a teamAustralian residentWHO WE ARE As an international leading planning and design firm, Place Design Group celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021.
