Bendigo Heritage Attractions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Tourism & Marketing Support Officer to proactively drive business growth by enhancing the customer experience and ensuring a seamless and memorable visit. Founded on one of the world's richest goldfields, Bendigo is a vibrant regional city with a strong arts, culture and food scene. A not-for-profit organisation, BHA is responsible for the management of Bendigo's leading heritage tourist attractions: Central Deborah Gold Mine, Bendigo Tramways, the Tramways Workshop and the Bendigo Joss House Temple.
The Tourism & Marketing Support Officer will be responsible for: Proactively acquire new business in the group bookings and functions markets.Independently manage the booking process across multiple internal and external interfaces with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.Develop, review and implement group bookings across BHA.Build and maintain BHA's CRM platform and database.Assist in the development and implementation of projects and bookings.Provide information and assistance to tourists and potential visitors, addressing enquiries and enhancing their experience.Provide administration support to the General Manager - Tourism & Marketing.Other duties within training and competencies as required.Our ideal candidate will have: Extensive administration and organisational skills with an eye for detail.Experience with a variety of IT programs and software including Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, project management, CRM and reservation systems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and develop strong relationships with external stakeholders.Commitment to safety in the workplace.Proven ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.Previous experience providing administration support.This is a full-time ongoing position but flexible working arrangements would be considered for the right candidate.
