Job Description
About the Role Support and enhance environmental compliance and sustainable practices within our clients' mining operations. This role will involve monitoring, data management, and advisory responsibilities to ensure the site meets and exceeds regulatory and environmental standards.
What's on Offer? A niche consultancy known for tackling specialised and challenging environmental issues. 12 months contract working on an 8:6 roster flying out of Perth. Work alongside a dedicated and passionate team of environmental professionals on site, driving impactful sustainability initiatives together. Key Criteria As the successful candidate for the role of Site Environmental Advisor you will meet the following criteria:
Conduct comprehensive environmental monitoring, data collection, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), analysis, and reporting, including managing databases and using GIS. Develop, refine, and implement environmental procedures and work instructions. Provide expert advice and guidance to site contractors and employees, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, procedures, and relevant legislation. Manage, collate, and present environmental data, including non-compliance information, for regulatory notifications and annual reporting. Effective communication skills for reporting and advisory functions on environmental matters. Commitment to upholding high standards of environmental protection and sustainability. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an environmental role within the mining industry. Proficiency in GIS, with a proven capability in analysing and presenting environmental data.
