An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate leader to join Bundamba State Secondary College. We are seeking a Head of Department - Mathematics to join our community on a full-time basis in 2025.

About Bundamba State Secondary College
Bundamba State Secondary College is a secondary college situated in Bundamba, Ipswich, and located in the western education corridor of the Brisbane Metropolitan region. In 2024, Bundamba State Secondary College has an enrolment of approximately 891 students. A strength of our college is the inclusive and multi-cultural nature of our school, where we learn and grow in a culturally harmonious environment.
About the Role
As the Head of Department - Mathematics, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leading and ensuring the alignment of the curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, and moderation practices across the Mathematics faculty. Leading the development, implementation, and quality assurance of curriculum reforms including Version 9.0 Australian Curriculum and Senior Curriculum revisions. Leading the capability development of staff to improve their pedagogical practice and foster high levels of classroom engagement. Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to improve student achievement and engagement with learning. Forming partnerships with relevant networks and external organisations to drive innovation and provide pathway opportunities for students.
