Responsibilities Conduct health economic evaluations of emerging interventions for chronic diseases, focusing on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, and diabetes.
Contribute to development of simulation models using cutting-edge methodologies.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of leading health economists, clinicians, biostatisticians, and health informaticians.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated researcher with a strong interest in health economics of chronic disease.
The ideal candidate will be eager to drive meaningful change through extensive collaborations and the use of cutting-edge simulation modeling techniques.
The successful candidate is expected to support, develop, and manage a program of health economics under the direction of A/Prof An Duy Tran, and provide support to health economics research related to clinical studies and grant application development.
Your responsibilities will include:
Contributing to a range of health economic projects, including economic evaluations alongside clinical trials and simulation modelling.
Providing support for the development of grant applications.
Producing and assisting with preparing high-quality research outputs for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Disseminating research findings through scientific meetings.
Who We Are Looking For We are seeking individuals with exceptional quantitative skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a self-driven commitment to conducting impactful research in health economics and simulation modelling.
You will also have:
A master's degree or higher in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field (Level A).
A PhD degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field (Level B).
Proven experience in conducting health economic evaluations and proficiency in analysing large, complex datasets.
Demonstrated involvement in writing peer-reviewed articles, delivering conference presentations, and developing research grant proposals.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
