As the Procurement Business Partner Decarbonisation, you will be leading the efficient and effective delivery of sourcing activities, procurement advisory and processes within a centre-led model in line with organisational and procurement requirements that provides compliance and governance, delivers value, and manages key risks for Horizon Power.
You will support the Strategic Sourcing Manager & Senior Manager Decarbonisation with delivering the Procurement and Supply Chain Group (P&SC) business plan, business as usual, strategic and high risk / sensitive projects in the Decarbonisation portfolio.
Your role will include:
Responsible for delivering strategic, high risk / sensitive procurement activities in the Decarbonisation program / project and provide advisory services in relation to queries and service requests relating to source to contract, contract management, procure to pay, probity, spend, procurement system related and supplier management.
Actively supporting the Strategic Sourcing Manager & Senior Manager Decarbonisation in improving sourcing timelines and commercial outcomes whilst managing current and future works in the procurement system for completeness and accuracy.
Responsible for spend-insights and benchmarking against business objectives, key performance indicators and purchasing compliance.
Responsible for end-to-end supplier management including ensuring that relationships with key strategic suppliers are managed in accordance with the Horizon Power Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Framework.
Responsible for the undertaking of high-level strategic negotiations, providing expert advice and resolving complex risks in contracts.
Leads market research to gain a deep insight of the supply chain, risks, buyer behaviors and other issues (e.g.
legislation, policies) that impact contracts.
You will have:
Significant professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial environment, negotiating and managing spend for a similar-sized and complex business.
Stakeholder management experience internal (e.g.
direct reports, peers and Executive levels) and external (e.g.
Suppliers, Government agencies, Ministerial, etc.)
stakeholders.
Technical Skills - Source to Contract, Procurement Strategy and Planning for decarbonisation, Contract Management, Contract Law and Legislative Obligations, Negotiation Planning and Negotiating, Financial Management and Projects.
Soft Skills - Planning and Organizing, Proactive and Problem Solving, Communication (written and verbal), Stakeholder Management (internal and external).
High level proficiencies with MS Office systems (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and Procurement Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ellipse).
It is desirable if you have:
Experience in the energy or utilities industry, particularly on major infrastructure projects.
Good understanding of the interconnections between infrastructure and projects.
