The Opportunity
As a Senior People & Culture Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our people and culture strategy. Reporting to the Executive Manager, People & Culture, you'll be the go-to expert for delivering high-impact solutions that attract, retain, and develop our people while ensuring an inclusive and engaging workplace.
Please note: This will be a 14 month max-term maternity contract (up until March 2026). We are aiming to commence this role as soon as possible to ensure you receive a great handover and ongoing support from the current incumbent.
Whilst this position will primarily be office-based, we are open to flexibility with working hours for the right person, fitting in with the current flexibility of the team.
Key Responsibilities Partner with leaders to provide strategic advice and operational support on all aspects of people and culture, including performance, development, and engagement. Lead and implement key initiatives in employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and cultural transformation. Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and talent acquisition strategies to future-proof our organisation. Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with staff at all levels. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and best practices. Champion continuous improvement, bringing innovative ideas to enhance our culture and employee experience. About You
To excel in this role, you'll need:
Proven experience in a Senior HR or People and Culture role. Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, recruitment and workforce planning strategies. Strong knowledge and experience independently managing employment and industrial relations matters, including investigations and reports. Proven experience coaching managers and implementing performance management processes. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire. A strategic mindset with a passion for delivering practical, people-focused solutions. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related field. Bonus points for industry-related experience!
