Established in Adelaide in 1988, Thomas Foods International (TFI) is Australia's largest, family-owned red meat processor. TFI is a vertically integrated business, producing and supplying Australian beef, lamb and goat to over 85 countries, with offices in Australia, China, Canada, Europe, Japan, the Middle East, South East Asia, the UK and the USA.
Based at our Bourke, NSW facility, the WHS Manager spearheads a 'safety first and always' culture across the company by providing leadership, strategy, direction and specialist advice. This position is responsible for the management & continuous improvement of a WHS Management System and works closely consulting & collaborating with internal & external stakeholders to meet compliance with WHS legislation, regulations & standards for TFI.

Seeking professional candidates who are willing to relocate. Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related discipline 5 years WHS experience in a production/manufacturing environment Experience in a Self-Insured Employer work environment Experience in WHS management with direct reports Experience running workplace drug & alcohol testing programs ICAM Incident Investigation & strong investigative, problem solving & report writing skills Experience in permits, high risk & confined space entry & working at heights Proven ability to provide WHS practical advice & 'hands-on' assistance in a production/manufacturing environment Conduct WHS incident investigations & recommend effective corrective action Sound up-to-date knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice & standards Practical & technical knowledge of safe work practices, hazard/risk assessment and management, safe operating procedures, & emergency response Join us in a role where your expertise will directly contribute to the success and efficiency of our operations.
