As our Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI) Supervisor, you will lead a multidisciplined team of technicians and operators to ensure the safe execution of all NPI Operational and Maintenance activities.
You'll be responsible for employing the relevant business processes for the identification and prioritisation of corrective work, fault finding and fixing of breakdowns, allocation of qualified resources for the safe and efficient execution of work, capturing all work order history, and driving equipment reliability improvement to achieve the annual business objectives.
This is a permanent, full-time position on an 8:6 roster ex Perth to Mt Holland Key Responsibilities Actively lead and participate in the establishment of a health and safety culture, leading by example, and setting the required health and safety standards. Coordinating and supervising the daily and weekly NPI operations and maintenance activities for the village, aerodrome, water supply, water & wastewater treatment facilities, transport, fuel facilities, power generation, and waste management to ensure reliability of equipment and productivity of labour, using the relevant asset management processes. Ensure statutory compliance through a clear understanding of all statutory requirements and prioritising the planning and execution of statutory work. Ensure the relevant maintenance and operations documents and associated files are updated and maintained. Strong understanding of both operations and maintenance strategies for large mine site NPI facilities. Determine, review, and/or approve work scopes for the NPI operations and maintenance activities considering technical requirements and resource constraints. QA/QC of work completed ensuring it was done to the desired standard to achieve the expected equipment reliability. Monitor the performance of the NPI operations and maintenance functions against key performance indicators. Identify risks that have the capacity to compromise NPI performance outcomes and drive resolution of these issues to mitigate any impacts to desired outcomes. Drive value creation across the NPI department by implementing continuous improvement in line with Operational Excellence. Contribute to the preparation of budgets, including personnel, capital justification, and the collation of data on a systematic basis for progressive forecasting and future estimating. Develop a team culture of continuous improvement aligned with Covalent's values. Role Requirements Trade qualification in carpentry or plumbing, or 5+ years' experience in a similar role. Competent with basic root cause analysis methodology (5 Why's). Computerised Maintenance Management System experience (SAP or Pronto desirable). 5+ years in NPI operations and maintenance roles, including at least 3 years in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity. Previous experience in village, aerodrome, water treatment, power generation, and other NPI operations. Proven ability to use initiative, be self-directed, and work under minimal supervision. High level of interpersonal skill, including written and verbal communication skills.
