Wood is recruiting for an Instrument & Electrical Designer to join our team in Perth.
This is an initial 12-month contract which is anticipated to be an ongoing assignment, in support of one of our key energy clients.

To be successful you have prior senior designer level working experience in the Offshore LNG, Oil & Gas sectors within an EPCM engineering and maintenance project environment with both onshore and offshore scope of work engagements with particular emphasis on Brownfields modifications.

Reporting to the I&E Design Lead and working as part of our clients' integrated team, you will support the Instrument & Electrical Design packages on a major brownfields oil & gas project, with the support of a small team, both locally and internationally.
In addition, you will:
Readily take ownership of discipline design commitments and requirements on a project Ensure deliverables are consistently checked, accurate and presentable Provide day to day services to the project Please note you must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship.
Ideally you will have proven 3D experience as an Instrument & Electrical Designer working in a similar role in an EPCM / Engineering environment within the Australian resource sector.
What will set you apart will be your relevant experience in Brownfields Oil & Gas projects.
In addition, you will have:
Tertiary qualified in Engineering / Drafting An ability to interpret and translate engineering concepts into practical designs Experienced with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Also, preferably, experience with E3D and Navisworks Simulator.
