Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will work closely with our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy services that enhance the well-being and quality of life of our residents.
We have a permanent part-time role available working 3-7pm with our residents living with dementia for 6 days a fortnight.
One weekend is included.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of programs that address the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of residents.Support residents in maximizing their abilities and encourage their participation in daily activities.Contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and safe environment for all residents, with a focus on those requiring specialized dementia support.Monitor and report on residents' progress during therapy sessions, providing feedback to therapists on the outcomes of interventions.Contribute to the evaluation of care plans, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of residents.Maintain accurate daily records of therapy activities and outcomes to ensure compliance and continuity of care.Key Requirements: Completion of a Therapy Assistant course – highly regarded.Experience working as a Therapy Assistant – highly regarded.Experience working in the Aged Care Industry, in either community or residential - desirable.Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, consumers, families, and service providers.What's on Offer: Attractive remuneration $26.88-$31.50 per hour - depending on experience, plus 11.5% superannuation.All employees have access to Juniperks, an online platform that unlocks exclusive retail discounts, employee perks, wellness initiatives, and peer acknowledgement.Salary Packaging up to $18,550 per annum tax free.How to Apply: Apply online now or for more information please ring Emma on 61196210.
