Therapeutic Support ManagerFull-Time Permanent PositionLocated in Newcastle, NSWLead a team of support workers to provide therapeutic care to children and young people in our out of home care services by providing excellent support, supervision and management.
About the role: Providing support, supervision and coaching to the team of Therapeutic Youth WorkersManage and maintain rosters and appropriate staffing levelsDay to day coordination of the care of children and young peopleCoordinating and monitoring the implementation of documentation, plans and reviewsEnsuring quality life story work by the Therapeutic Youth WorkersManaging informal and formal complaints and feedbackEnsuring mandatory internal and external reporting occursThe role consists of a 76-hour fortnight, with a combination of administrative shifts and on-floor shifts.
About you: Essential Requirements: Relevant management experience of Children and Young People in Out Of Home Care who have a disability and/or with complex care needs due to trauma-based background and/or relevant management experience across the education, health care, early childhood or community services sector.Bachelor's degree in a related fieldExperience managing staff who regularly face crisis situations in the course of their workKnowledge and experience to work within the relevant legislation, Out of Home Care Standards, policies, and proceduresCapacity to apply culturally appropriate practices with Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse communitiesExcellent oral and written communication and demonstrated administration skills and computer literacyAbility to work collaboratively as a member of multidisciplinary teamsCurrent Drivers' LicenseWillingness to work outside of business hoursCurrent Working with Children CheckVaccinated against Covid-19What we have to offer: Salary packaging options including up to $16K p/a salary sacrificeCrisis and incident support from national 24/7 Incident Response teamOpportunities for career advancementJoin Us - What's Next?
