If so, we want you to join our team!What you will do:As a Therapeutic Specialist, you'll be the go-to person for trauma-informed care, guiding and supporting staff, carers, families, and teams. Your role will involve developing and implementing Therapeutic Response (BIS) plans, facilitating Therapeutic Care Team meetings, conducting Reflective Practice sessions, and providing Therapeutic Parenting interventions. You'll ensure that children and young people's voices are heard and included in their care plans.Key Responsibilities:Provide therapeutic oversight and targeted interventions for children and young people in out-of-home care.Develop and review trauma-informed care assessments and intervention plans.Facilitate Therapeutic Care Team and Multidisciplinary Team Meetings.Equip children and young people with safety and resilience skills.Promote a culture of respect, humility, and empowerment.Work closely with Aboriginal families and service providers to support cultural healing.Maintain accurate records and comply with all legislative requirements.What you bring:Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or related discipline.Experience in clinical, counselling, or mental health roles or trauma-informed settings.High-level communication and interpersonal skills.Expertise in developing therapeutic alliances and working within multi-disciplinary teams.Strong organisational and time management skills.Knowledge of evidence-informed practices for children in out-of-home care, trauma-specific healing, and attachment-based interventions.Competitive salary rate plus 11.5% superannuation.Be part of a team that genuinely cares about making a positive impact.Flexible work hours (Full-time or Part-time, up to 38 hours per week).Ongoing professional development and support.Opportunities to work with a diverse and inclusive team.Make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.Other Essentials:Occasional travel for training and therapeutic purposes.Registration with a relevant professional body.Potential to work across regions.We'd love to hear from you if you can bring your expertise and passion to our team!
