Are you a Linux Systems Administrator looking to contribute your skills to cutting-edge projects in the defence sector?
We're seeking two experienced Linux Systems Administrators to join our dedicated team. You'll play a critical role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing the Linux-based infrastructure that supports vital defence operations.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and performance Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Linux systems and associated tools Support infrastructure automation using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with stringent security requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust system solutions Contribute to incident management and resolution in a high-pressure environment Document processes and systems to maintain operational excellence Ability to work within a secure environment and adhere to strict security protocols Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience: 3+ years as a Linux Systems Administrator Linux expertise: Strong knowledge of RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu Networking fundamentals: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls Security awareness: Familiarity with hardening Linux systems and managing vulnerabilities Scripting skills: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar Monitoring tools: Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, or similar platforms Version control: Exposure to Git, SVN, or similar tools Desirable Skills: Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, KVM) Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) Prior experience in the defence or a similarly secure environment What's on offer: The opportunity to work on high-profile, mission-critical projects A supportive, inclusive team culture Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits Continuous professional development and training This role offers a chance to make a tangible difference in national security while advancing your career in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
