As QBE AUSPAC continues its transformation journey, we are restructuring Data & Analytics to simplify its interface with its business stakeholders and better align its delivery capabilities to business demand. The Chapter Lead - Data Services - Build & Run will take responsibility for managing the skills, resources, standards and capabilities required to build, deploy and maintain data products to meet business requirements across reporting, insights, ML & AI use cases.

This role will report to Head of Data Services. In this role, you will have data service specialists (data pipeline & asset developers) and data testers reporting to you. These could also include contingent workforce onboarded for various projects. You will work closely with Chapter Lead - Data analysis & design, and delivery leads within Data Partnering teams to plan the resource allocation to multiple BAU and change workstreams across the portfolio.

This role is responsible for understanding the delivery of core system data structures, data processing required and working with wider Data teams to develop data pipelines, data models and data products and services to meet business objectives and data governance requirements.

This role is part of the AUSPAC division's Data Services team in the Chief Data and Analytics Office. As QBE AUSPAC continues its transformation journey, the Chapter Lead will manage the skills, resources, standards, and capabilities required to build, deploy, and maintain data products for reporting, insights, ML & AI use cases.

Your new role

In this role, reporting to the Head of Data Services, you will lead a team of data service specialists (data pipeline & asset developers), data testers and other workforce. Working closely with Chapter Lead - Data analysis & design, and delivery leads within Data Partnering teams to plan the resource allocation to multiple BAU and change workstreams across the portfolio.

This role is responsible for understanding the delivery of core system data structures, data processing required and working with wider Data teams to develop data pipelines, data models and data products and services to meet business objectives and data governance requirements.

Responsibilities include: Develop networks within and across delivery functions to promote collaboration and drive innovationProvide inputs for platform/application/data framework upliftsWork closely with Senior Managers to understand business demand and provide inputs into project plans.Enable the execution of data & analytics projects and oversee the delivery of data projectsLead data product build CoE and ensure standards are used consistentlyManage the build and maintenance of data controls and provide support for data assets in production.Manage data specialists, resource allocation, and performance managementProvide inputs into the development of Data & Analytics strategies and roadmaps About you:
You have a proven track record in managing data build activities for end-to-end data & analytics delivery in complex environments. You are adept at bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, with advanced technical translation and communication skills. You have extensive stakeholder management experience and expertise in leading data analysis & design activities.

Technical skills: MS Stack: Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, SQLCloud/Modern data stacks & tools: Azure, Databricks, Synapse, DBT, DenodoData modeling & architecture: 3NF, Snowflake, star-schema, Enterprise data modeling.Programming languages: R, Python, SQL VStudio.CI/tools: Jenkins, BambooGitHub, Jira, Confluence About QBE
