About the Role You will play a vital support role within surgical teams.
Theatre Assistant Team Leader responsibilities include working as a member of the clinical team to prepare the theatre environment for the scheduled procedures as follows:
Transferring and positioning patientsRespecting and ensuring safety according to the hospital policies, procedures and legislative guidelinesHandling of general, toxic and clinical wasteAssisting surgeons, anaesthetists and nursing staff with preparation of the department needsMonitoring and resupply of stock and equipmentLeading by example, mentoring and facilitating education for the teamRosteringMonitoring team members' skill development and annual performance reviewsEffective team member of the senior perioperative management teamAbout You You will possess strong communication skills and a desire to gain a solid understanding of hospital procedures.
As a motivated and positive individual, you will exhibit a keen attention to detail.
You will also bring: Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong understanding of Infection Control principlesAbility to work effectively within a team environment and independently as requiredExcellent patient and customer service focusBe available for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.Remuneration: A base hourly rate from $36.76 and superannuation, based on qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (NSW EA Level 3).

Minimum Requirements: Certificate III in Operating Theatre Technician or Certificate III in Health Services AssistantPrior experience in a similar roleOver 3 years previous experience as a Theatre Assistant/Technician/OrderlyMust provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 monthsAccording to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.To Apply All applications must be lodged online.
