About the Role
The Obstetrics and Gynaecological (O&G) Clinical Teaching Fellow will be based at the Mercy Hospital for Women, working under the guidance of the site-specific coordinator and the Department's Academic Co-ordinator.
You will be responsible for delivering teaching sessions, such as clinical skills coaching, case-based discussions, and simulation sessions, as well as contributing to assessments, including written examinations, OSCEs, and Structured Case-Based Discussions.
Your Responsibilities
Deliver teaching sessions, including clinical skills coaching, case-based discussions, and simulation sessions.
Contribute to the preparation and marking of written paper examinations.
Participate in assessments, including marking portfolio tasks, mini-CEX assessments, OSCEs, and Structured Case-Based Discussions.
Engage in professional development programs designed to promote excellence in clinical teaching.
Who We Are Looking For
You will possess medical registration in Australia, be an advanced trainee or Fellow in obstetrics, gynaecology (FRANZCOG), neonatology, or equivalent.
You have flexibility, enthusiasm, experience, and a commitment to quality clinical teaching, with the potential for further enhancement of your professional and teaching skills.
You will also have:
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, and students.
Strong team skills to work collaboratively with other educators and achieve excellent educational outcomes for students.
Experience in clinical teaching.
This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
