Fixed term position available for 3 years.
The Waite Research Institute sits within DRI and brings together leading research groups across all faculties of the University of Adelaide, in the fields of science, engineering, economics and social science with a focus on Agriculture, Food and Wine. The WRI's broad vision is to drive innovative, collaborative, and internationally-competitive research that supports profitable and sustainable production in its target sectors.
The Institute Manager will contribute to formulating and implementing the strategic direction of the WRI, provide co-ordination around the delivery of major research programs and assist in the management of stakeholders and clients, both internal and external. The Institute Manager is responsible for all operational aspects of the Waite Research Institute including: financial management, contract management, project management, HR and OHSW and compliance with University policies.
To be successful you will need:
Demonstrated ability and experience in operational, financial, contractual and project management. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Demonstrated ability in business development of research projects and support for external partnerships. Delivers excellent outcomes within deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff at all levels. This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
