As a Technical Producer in the Event Centre Audio Visual Team at The Star Sydney, you will be responsible for managing all technical aspects in the Event Centre. This is a front-facing role which involves coordinating with creative and technical teams, managing equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring seamless execution of events.
The Technical Producer will liaise with Event Centre Department Heads including sound, lighting, vision, and staging, to deliver high-quality entertainment experiences for our clients.
A few of your responsibilities: Liaise with clients, developing event plans and overseeing technical teams Manage technical budgets and quoting for medium to large scale events Provide stakeholders with technical solutions and options Be hands-on with technical equipment if required and experienced in one or more of the following areas (high-end video, lighting, audio, rigging systems) Produce technical drawings, floorplans, rigging plans; experienced in either AUTOCAD or Vector Works What are we looking for: Minimum 5 years' experience in technical production, technical account management, or as a technical director Flexibility to work within a 7-day roster as required Previous experience in project management within the audio-visual industry Experience leading and collaborating within a team The ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships About you: You will have a motivated, proactive, can-do attitude and ensure you provide the highest quality of technical event service.
