About the RoleMyVisa is pleased to invite applications for our 2024 / 2025 Summer Practical Legal Training (PLT) Program. This full-time, in-person opportunity will be based at our Sydney Pitt Street offices.The program kicks off in early December 2024, running for 60 working days, with an option to extend to 75 days. This unpaid vocational placement is ideal for law students seeking structured, hands-on experience for admission purposes.Program Structure:File construction, workflow management, and improving communication skills, including submission writing.Drafting visa applications, preparing Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) review applications, and filing Federal Court proceedings for judicial reviews of AAT immigration decisions.Preparing invoices, managing fee collection, ceasing services for non-paying clients, and drafting submissions for visa cancellation revocations under Section 501 of the Migration Act 1958.Merits review of immigration decisions.After completing the first three (3) rotations, eligible participants may progress to a fourth rotation with Practice Director Nilesh Nandan, who will oversee this phase based on participant progress.About MyVisa LawyersMyVisa Lawyers is a premier Australian immigration law firm, handling complex immigration applications and appeals across Australia.
