ABOUT THE ROLE
This role involves providing strategic HR guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, recruitment, and remuneration to ensure efficient, effective team structures and market competitiveness. The role includes managing cyclical HR projects like performance reviews and wage increases, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, tracking HR metrics, and supporting change management. Additionally, the position emphasises a strong commitment to safety and team development, promoting workplace health standards, and guiding an HR Officer in their professional growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Advise on workforce planning and organisational design to optimise team structures and support business success. Oversee recruitment and resourcing strategies, including talent attraction, agency utilisation, and cost optimisation. Provide guidance on remuneration and market competitiveness aligned to individual talent and capability. Manage HR processes for performance reviews, wage increases, legislative reporting, and EBA negotiations. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, track HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement), and support data-driven improvements. Promote workplace safety, ensuring adherence to WHS policies, conducting audits, and supporting a proactive safety culture. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field. Previous experience in coaching and developing individuals to enhance leadership capabilities. Proven knowledge and practical experience in HR principles, with the ability to address people-related issues from a commercial standpoint and deliver value-added HR services. Strong interpersonal skills, including assertiveness and the ability to influence and coach at a management level. In-depth knowledge of relevant workplace legislation. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people, with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written. Your application will include the following questions:
