Responsibilities
Based in North Sydney, we are seeking a Financial Accountant for a Maternity Leave Cover (approximately 14 months) to oversee the daily accounting for our property portfolio.
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

Partnering with the Financial Controller to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial accounting and reporting for all levels of business. Managing monthly financial reporting and analysis for the property portfolio including rent, energy, and outgoings . Maintenance of lease financial information for the property portfolio in leasing software. Month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Calculation and review of fixed and variable rent components. Manage and complete annual gross sales audits in line with lease agreements. Assist with half year and year end audits. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Property, Legal and Operations.
Skills and Experience
This role is integral to the Finance team and requires someone who has the ability to partner with the Property team effectively and ensure that information is provided to support business decisions.
The successful candidate will possess:
A minimum of 2-4 years prior experience within a similar role. Desirable CPA/CA qualifications. Ability to comprehend complex lease arrangements. A high level of attention to detail. Ability to analyse and communicate financial information. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Strong MS Suite skills, particularly within Excel.
