Join the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) as we are seeking an experienced staff member in the position of Test Manager.The position is an integral part of the Cloud Campus Program, which is a key initiative of CIT's future digitisation strategy, the successful transition to the Woden campus, and broader business transformation and campus renewal initiative.WHY CIT?Award-Winning Excellence: Join an institution celebrated for its cutting-edge contributions to education and innovation.Impactful Work: Play a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce of the ACT and beyond.Dynamic Environment: Thrive in a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive workplace that champions creativity and collaboration.Join us and be a part of our transformative journey, making a lasting impact on vocational education and training at CIT.WHAT WILL YOU DO?Reporting directly to the ICT Program Delivery and Governance Director, you will be initially responsible for the planning and support of the execution of testing of the Timetabling and Scheduling capability, while delivering a suite of templates and processes suitable for use across the Cloud Campus program.This will include developing test strategies, test plans and test scripts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.You will provide expertise in testing strategies, which will reduce defects found after implementation and will provide quality assurance that risks associated with implementing systems are accurately quantified and validated to ensure systems are fit for purpose, appropriately integrated, and meet business requirements.The role will be pivotal within the Cloud Campus program and will work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) Program Manager, Business Change Manager, Architects, Project teams and Subject Matter Experts.WHAT DO I NEED?The successful applicant must demonstrate expertise in software testing.
Qualifications in testing/test management, or extensive experience working as a test manager within the public service environment is highly desirable.Proven extensive experience in the management of testing services and associated activities.Proven experience in delivering effective testing outcomes against the pressures of time, cost, risk, scope and quality.Demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication, liaison, analytical and conceptual skills.Ability to collaborate and negotiate in a respectful positive and forward focused manner.Ability to establish and maintain effective business partnerships, including suppliers and executive stakeholders, through collaboration, engagement, responsiveness, and influence.Demonstrated accountability in achieving results and enable delivery of value and benefits.Demonstrated ability to model the CIT cultural traits and ACT Public Service values and signature behaviours, knowledge of and the ability to work in accordance with, and implement agreed CIT policy and principles, respect, equity, and diversity (RED), work health and safety (WHS) and workplace participation.Notes:
This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
