Fixed-31st December 2024, Full-Time Opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Test Lead to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.
About the Business Unit Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and overseas the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role The Test Lead will be responsible for providing testing advice and services, assist other team members with testing issues and will play an integral role, under a variety of project and software development methodologies including waterfall, iterative, incremental and agile, of collaboratively ensuring the conversion of business requirements into successful tested outcomes for the business meeting agreed business quality expectations.
Some of your duties will include:
Manage testing services in line with ICT policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines. Establish and coordinate test teams. Develop relevant test strategies and plans. To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in a Test Lead role. Demonstrated high level of expertise and experience with best practice test management tools, processes and methodologies. Experience across a range of waterfall, iterative, incremental and agile software development methodologies with particular emphasis on testing, change management, release management and quality assurance disciplines. Understanding and application of process improvement techniques and thorough knowledge of current issues and trends in Information Technology. Systems analysis and design knowledge and understanding of applications and enterprise solutions. Qualifications An ICT tertiary qualification would be desirable. Vocation training or certifications in best practise testing delivery, automation and agile development methodologies will be desirable. Knowledge of test automation will be desirable.
