Roles and responsibilities: Experienced Data Analyst/Tester to perform Build Verification Testing (BVT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on a data solution within Databricks, specifically on the Gold layer.
This role requires a deep understanding of banking and marketing data needs and the ability to translate business use cases into effective test conditions.
Strong data testing, business interpretation, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: Test Design & Execution : Interpret business use cases to design and execute relevant test conditions for data validation in the Gold layer of Databricks.
Build Verification Testing (BVT) : Perform BVT to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and performance in the initial stages of the data pipeline.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Collaborate with stakeholders to define UAT scenarios, conduct UAT, and confirm the data solution meets marketing and banking requirements.
Data Quality & Analysis : Analyze and test data to ensure it meets the quality standards needed for marketing initiatives within the bank.
Stakeholder Engagement : Effectively communicate testing findings and data insights with business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on data quality and usability.
Required Skills: Data Testing Expertise : Strong hands-on experience with data validation and testing methodologies, particularly within Databricks or similar data platforms.
Banking Knowledge : In-depth understanding of banking operations, with experience in data testing for banking or financial products, especially in marketing.
Analytical Skills : Ability to interpret complex business use cases and derive meaningful test conditions that align with business objectives.
SQL Proficiency : Solid SQL skills for querying, analyzing, and validating data in the Gold layer of Databricks.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience : 3+ years in data testing or data analysis, with a focus on BVT, UAT, or data quality testing in a banking or financial services context.
Technical Skills : Hands-on experience with Databricks or other data processing platforms, and proficiency in SQL for data validation.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data solutions specifically catering to marketing functions within the banking industry.
Familiarity with data lake and data warehouse concepts, particularly in multi-layered environments like Databricks (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
