About the role The Territory Sales Manager role within our Pryde's team is a highly autonomous role that drives sales, builds strong sustainable relationships and creates new business with a focus on growing our market share within the equine Leisure-User segment.
The horse feed market within Ag Retail & Leisure-Users is highly competitive and consistently challenging us to protect & grow our market share.
Due to our growth, we are requiring a sales manager to cover some of our NSW markets.
Much of your time will be spent on field visits where you will focus on levers that will drive market share in each store and strongly influence key decision makers including end-users.
You will also: Build strategic relationships across the ag retail and Leisure-Users markets in the territory Attend sponsorship events, engage end-users, with aim to educate & influence them on the benefits of our products Analyse sales data in territory – understand performance by store and identify what needs to be done to improve performance Review / develop future call cycle plans Keep your knowledge of equine nutrition and how our range can solve equine nutrition needs up to date About You You have a positive attitude, are resourceful and resilient, and can think outside the square to overcome challenges and take advantage of opportunities in the market.
You are methodical in your approach to sales, planning and managing a detailed field sales cadence including call cycle planning; setting clear objectives for each store visit; and documenting & measuring call cycle visits.
A demonstrated interest in horses and equine nutrition would be a bonus!
You also have: Experience in field sales &/or territory sales management – preferably within the ag-retail space Experience in identifying & implementing instore activities that will drive sales impact Skills in building mutually beneficial relationships with customers & end-users Ability to use data to track and analyse performance, so that you are clear with how territory is performing, why sales are up/down, and what are the right levers to pull to grow sales in your territory.
