As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals.
We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries.
About the role Terminal Operators at the Newcastle grain terminal are critical to ensuring that we deliver an efficient and safe service in exporting and importing grains and other commodities.
This includes wheat, sorghum, pulses, stockfeed and other products.
The core activities of a terminal operator include rail and road receival, shipping, road outloading, plant hygiene, bunker storage operations and grain assessing.
As a member of a multi-skilled work environment you will be expected to take on other activities within the plant in accordance with training and experience.

About your experience We're seeking individuals with experience in plant operations in any industry or the ability/willingness to do this type of work.
Additionally: Good communication, teamwork and customer service skills Capacity to work at heights and in confined spaces Willingness to undertake training to obtain fumigation licence and Dept of Agriculture Approved Officer status Bonus: truck loader, forklift or skid-steer experience In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, preferred candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical.
