About our teamAs the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals. We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the roleTerminal Operators at our port-side grain terminals are critical to ensuring that we deliver an efficient and safe service in exporting and importing grains and other commodities. This includes wheat, barley, sorghum, oilseeds and magnesia.
The core activities of a terminal operator include rail and road receival, shipping, road outloading, plant hygiene, grain protection and grain assessing among others. As a member of a multi-skilled work environment, you will be expected to take on other activities within the plant in accordance with training and experience. We provide you with the tools and training required to perform your job effectively and safely.
About your experienceWe're seeking individuals who align to our values and especially a strong commitment to safety and customer service. You should have sound communication skills and relate well to others. The desire and willingness to learn and accept new challenges is essential.
You'll have experience in general labouring work, trades and services, building and construction or transport and logistics, though we are open-minded to a range of experiences. A forklift and/or loader ticket is preferred. This work requires flexibility to work some nights and/or weekends, as needed, to meet vessel loading requirements.
In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical.
