About the Role We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual adept at governance and compliance monitoring of regulatory requirements as our new Tenures Coordinator as part of Santos' EAPNG Tenures team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Manager Tenures, this role is required to:
Support the Tenures team to deliver high quality tenure (permit) management and governance services to ensure tenures (permits) are managed in compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor tenure (permit) compliance obligations, and coordinate lodgements and approvals with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Assist the Tenures team with internal and external reporting obligations, fee payments and data management and visualisation. This will be delivered in line with company values and in accordance with Santos Management System including Risk, Compliance, and Asset Life Cycle Standards. Key Accountabilities: Develop and maintain a knowledge of compliance requirements under onshore resource legislation. Coordinate and prepare statutory forms for lodgement with Government agencies including preparation and co-ordination of accompanying documentation. Process tenure payments and invoices, including annual fees and council rates and ensure expenses are reconciled. Support the Tenures team in ensuring tenure approvals are delivered in a timely manner and legislative compliance is maintained for petroleum tenures (permits) across various jurisdictions, including submission of statutory notices and reports. Interface with Government agencies to ensure efficient management of petroleum tenures (permits) with respect to legislative compliance. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of tenure compliance systems to maintain tenure detail, documentation and upcoming compliance obligations including payment of prescribed fees. Assist the team with internal and external reporting, data management, systems and visualisation. About You Holding a Tertiary qualification and/or work/industry experience in a relevant technical area, it is also essential that candidates can demonstrate the following skills and experience: Analytical skills and experience in a similar role demonstrating understanding regulatory compliance legislation, policies and processes. Knowledge of tenures approvals and compliance regimes in the petroleum and gas industry. Capability to work in complex commercial and large organisational structures. Demonstrated sound ability to successfully initiate and implement change and continuous improvement in the work environment. Strong organisational skills. Good clerical and communication skills. Strong attention to Detail. Experience in the use of compliance management systems. This role will suit candidates from a Regulatory or Compliance background.
