The role As the Tenure Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing quality customer service including the receival and processing of applications for mining tenements, dealings, and other applications under the Mining Act 1978, providing quality front line customer service to internal and external customers in respect to the Department's policies and procedures as required.
Additionally, this role assists team members to ensure high quality timely service delivery and attending to complex customer queries for time sensitive matters.
In addition, you'll initiate business document processing, branch administrative functions, undertake financial payments, and maintain mineral title information systems databases.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months, from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
