This role involves working closely with the Director, coaches, staff, and participants to ensure the smooth operation of tennis facilities and programs.
The Tennis Coordinator also handles administrative tasks and provides excellent customer service to members and guests.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the Director of Tennis to plan, organize, and oversee tennis programs, including lessons, clinics, tournaments, and social events.Develop and implement new programs to attract and retain participants.Coordinate with coaches and instructors to schedule and promote classes and events.Ensure that tennis courts and related facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards.Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and upkeep of equipment and facilities.Manage court reservations and schedules to maximize usage and member satisfaction.Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and participants.Handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.Assist with membership sales and retention efforts.Maintain accurate records of programs, participants, and financial transactions.Prepare reports on program participation, financial performance, and other metrics.Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operation of tennis programs.Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage for all programs and events.Represent the organization at community events and meetings.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in sports management, recreation, or a related field (preferred).Previous experience in tennis program management or a related field.Strong organizational and administrative skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Knowledge of tennis rules, regulations, and best practices.Proficiency in using scheduling software and other relevant technology.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the tennis facility for extended periods.Capability to lift and carry equipment as needed.Must be able to work in various weather conditions if the facility includes outdoor courts.Additional Information: Visa: Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
