Temporary Trust Accountant (Residential)16th September, 2024TEMPORARY TRUST ACCOUNTANT (RESIDENTIAL)We are seeking a Residential Trust Accountant on a 3-4 month contract based in Melbourne CBD.Working alongside the finance manager, this role will be an autonomous role with the option to Work from Home within 2 weeks or after training.The Role Manage the rental trust accounting including receipting, reconciling (Approx 6-700).Perform daily banking reconciliation.Process receipts for payments made into the trust accounts.Process all owner payouts and creditor payments.Transfer of trust monies to General Account in a timely manner.Complete end to end trust account management and prepare audit files, in readiness for the external audit if required.Check accuracy for any errors, arrears, or inconsistency within the data and maintain a high level of integrity at all times.Maintain detailed reports and produce reports as required.Input creditors invoices, residential and sales and ensure correct fees are charged accordingly.Liaise with property management and sales team with any discrepancies, rental arrears or planned payments to ensure trust and transfer of funds in accordance with both sales and rental authority.Respond to any queries from vendors and landlords.Operate within the legislative requirements and ensure all data is accurate, compliant to mitigate any risks.Prepare property and financial reports as directed and assist with accounting functions.About YouMin 2+ years' experience in a Trust Accounting role within the Real Estate industry.Familiarity with applicable legislation and regulation.Strong interpersonal & business communication skills.Enhanced negotiation abilities.High level of organisation and attention to detail.Competence with property management software.This role is for immediate start and as a temporary casual employee of Innovative Talent Group, you will be paid an hourly rate of $50-55ph+Super.
