Join Western Sydney Local Health District Mental Health Services in a role dedicated to supporting individuals with severe mental health conditions. Key responsibilities include:
Managing the NSW Mental Health Telephone Access Line for Western Sydney.Conducting triage assessments and coordinating referrals to mental health services.Providing advice and information to consumers, carers, and care providers.Collaborating with agencies to ensure equitable access to mental health care.Upholding person-centred care while promoting safety and quality improvement.How to Apply

Essential requirements Qualification: Tertiary qualifications as Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker
Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist; Eligible for membership of AASW for Social Workers
Selection Criteria Demonstrated highly developed skills in mental health assessment and care provision.Ability to work with minimal supervision in managing complex presentations.Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.Demonstrated highly developed communications skills encompassing analysis, problem solving and negotiation.Experience and expertise in working with people with severe mental health difficulties.High level customer service skills with the ability to engage, develop and sustain working relationships quickly and effectively.Computer competence and literacy including the use of healthcare electronic medical record systems.Ability to participate in a 7 day roster.Requisition ID: REQ516087
