Job DescriptionAs mobile network technology advances, our Tier 1 telecom client leads the way in building and upgrading telecommunication infrastructure along Australia's eastern seaboard. They are overseeing a major project with an Asset Owner Company, which involves upgrading over 4,000 towers across the country. Most of the work is based on the eastern seaboard, but candidates should be prepared for a lot of travel, which is unpredictable. Exact travel dates and locations can't be specified in advance, as the towers are wherever they need to be. The client is flexible about arranging time off for personal events such as birthdays and anniversaries. They also support their teams by flying people back from other states for rest and recuperation days. While they expect hard work and dedication, they are generally supportive of their teams and committed to helping them succeed.Multiple Positions Available2 x Telecoms Steel Structural Riggers1 x 2nd Man1 x Experienced 2nd ManPosition OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Steel Erection Rigger for a dynamic role with our client. This position involves FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) and DIDO (Drive-In Drive-Out) work, with flexibility required for extended periods away from home. The typical schedule is 3 weeks on followed by 4 days off.Travel RequirementsMust be flexible with extended stays away from home. Typical schedule: 3 weeks on, 4 days off. Travel arrangements include FIFO, DIDO, or leaving the van at a location and flying home.RequirementsValid Rigging tickets in Australia.Structural knowledge and experience preferred.Telecoms experience not necessary; training will be provided.Candidates based in Brisbane/Gold Coast are preferred to foster strong team relationships and avoid isolation.Qualifications & ExperienceBasic Rigging qualification required as a minimum.Minimum 2 years' experience within a telecommunications environment.Minimum 3 years' experience required for a team leader role.Regional travel as required.Experience with structure upgrades is an advantage.Experience in Civil Works is advantageous but not necessary.90% of work involves travel and is very ad hoc.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesInstallation of complex steelwork from shop drawings.Installation of mobile equipment for all major carriers.Ability to lead a team successfully.Installation of telecommunication structures (poles, masts, and towers).Understanding of site drawings.Fault finding and resolution.Ability to work with cranes and EWPs (Elevated Work Platforms).Completion of OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) documentation.BenefitsFantastic work environment and company culture.Competitive salary.Overtime and LAFHA.Meal allowance.Opportunity to see remote and regional areas of Australia.Possibility to bring your team with you.Long-term projects that will keep you busy.Required TicketsWork At Height.Tower Rescue.First Aid.CPR.Rigging & Dogging.Intermediate or Advanced Rigger (not essential).HR Truck license preferred (although not essential).Ideal CandidateExperience with tower upgrades and steel installation at height.Broadcast experience with large towers and rigging.Some RF (Radio Frequency) experience.Hard-working and committed.Relaxed and adaptable.***Only Australian Citizens/Permanent Residents (PR) and Work Visa holders need to apply.***#J-18808-Ljbffr
