Testing & Quality Assurance (Information & Communication Technology) As a Tester at TechnologyOne, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our Property & Rating solution, which helps local governments manage property and rating processes efficiently. Through comprehensive testing, you will verify that the software delivers an enterprise-grade experience, meeting high standards and customer expectations.
Your work will focus on delivering robust, bug-free software by adhering to quality metrics and collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve issues early, contributing to TechnologyOne's reputation for reliable enterprise solutions.
What you'll be doing… Analyse requirements and acceptance criteria to formulate persona based test cases that clearly test the expected outcome of new features in agile driven development. Collaborate closely with stakeholders including business analysts and developers to clarify ambiguities, to ensure fit for purpose test case development. Work with other product team testers to ensure end-to-end business processes covering integration points are fully tested. Perform functional, user acceptance, and regression testing of new features and fixes, replicating product environment customer scenarios including volumes, to deliver quality and high performing outcomes for our customers. Support test planning, maintain comprehensive test plans and build risk-based execution strategies, including development of automated tests. Stay current with customer business processes and relate this knowledge to identify clear and concise test cases for each persona in the business process. Conduct and participate in testing activities within agreed timescales and quality standards, driving delivery to set deadlines. Log defects found during testing, verify defect fixes, and manage defects. Adhere to testing practices as defined in the test framework and use available test tools to improve the management, automation, reporting, and quality of product testing, including maintenance of data set configurations. Continually challenge the status quo, drive business practice enhancements, contribute to the internal Forums, and ensure systems, processes, and costs are managed to improve efficiencies. Experience delivering end-to-end testing activities for software/applications - Local Government applications are highly desirable. Knowledge of industry best practice testing tools, methodologies, and frameworks. Good time management skills; able to proactively prioritise and switch between tasks. Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate in writing and verbally with stakeholders. Understanding of security and privacy of software. Experience with Test Management and Automated Testing tools. Experience managing data sets for testing. Working in an Agile work environment.
