About The RoleWe are searching for talented individuals to join our Australia operations to play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our fleet management systems, machine guidance systems, pit networks, fatigue management systems, collision avoidance systems, and more. The role will require regular ad hoc travel to our project sites across the East Coast.
In this role, your primary objective is to ensure the availability and functionality of critical systems. You will triage failures/issues, coordinate with various departments and external support teams, and implement timely solutions to maximise system reliability.
Additionally, you will:Install and commission FMS and HP GP systems, commission payload monitoring & fatigue monitoring systems and supporting pit networks across mining equipment.Ensure all installation compliance with Thiess Standards and Installation guidelines.Install Thiess TUM specific to equipment types.Debug systems prior to go-Live and ensure necessary hardware and consumables are available to complete each project.Provide guidance to internal and vendors on OEM Sensor system interfaces and machine health channels including VIMS, KOMTRAX, Liebherr BBT etc.Identify system improvements through auditing, training and system support processes and make recommendations on possible solutions or enhancements.Ensure awareness and practical use of systems and proactively seek feedback to improve processes.About YouYou will foster strong relationships across the team and all relevant stakeholders. Clear, concise, and influential communication is your forte, ensuring seamless collaboration and project success. You are someone who proactively seeks growth and performance input while actively identifying opportunities for improvement. You value integrity, accountability, innovation, and delivery.
Additionally, you have:Trade Qualification or University Degree in electrical/engineering, communications or relevant experience.Demonstrated experience in Fleet management systems, communications, In pit networks.Previous FMS and machine guidance systems support experience.High level of relationship management, influencing and communication skills.Preferable: Experience with iVolve FMS, Jigsaw, Minestar.Preferable: Experience with the technology and fault finding for successful Fleet Monitoring Systems implementation, support and new deployments with a focus on achieving business outcomes.Please note that this role will be a full-time, permanent position and applications for this role will close on 19 September 2024.
