As a Technology Strategy Architect for a prestigious public services body, you will help shape and implement the organisation's digital strategy, working within the Digital Branch to drive innovation and transformation.
In this role, you will support organisational reform by guiding the development of architectural standards and frameworks that align with the overall enterprise architecture.
You will lead initiatives related to applications and infrastructure architecture, ensuring they align with strategic goals and compliance standards.
Your expertise in software, operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), infrastructure (server, storage, network, DR, cloud), and IT security will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation of technology roadmaps and compliance with governance policies.
Your responsibilities will also include evaluating emerging technologies, monitoring market trends, and providing forward-thinking advice on their potential impact on the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate applications and infrastructure architecture activities both internally and with external stakeholders.
Develop and enforce governing principles for decision-making regarding architecture and ensure alignment with the broader enterprise architecture.
Oversee compliance with architecture policies, standards, and frameworks, ensuring alignment with the organisation's technology roadmap.
Apply your deep understanding of operating systems, infrastructure, cloud technologies, and IT security to support digital strategy initiatives.
Evaluate technology trends and market developments, identifying their potential impact on the organisation and advising on strategic direction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage partnerships to drive digital transformation efforts.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in developing and delivering enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing collaborative initiatives across organisations.
Expertise in architecture governance, compliance, and application of enterprise-level standards.
Knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), cloud, virtualisation, networking, and IT security.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends and emerging technologies.
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in information technology or a related field.
