DESCRIPTION Diesel Mechanic – Field Service – MACKAY GET YOUR START IN MINING – Cummins will Relocate you and your family to Mackay! We have opportunities for talented Field Service technicians to join our team specialising in engine repairs and maintenance for our Mackay branch.
Let Cummins train you to be an engine expert! RESPONSIBILITIES Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field, this will be on an on-call roster Diagnose and repair engines Inspect and replace components as required Engine rebuilding and reconditioning Work with other major OEM's such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr QUALIFICATIONS Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards) Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM) Compensation and Benefits Competitive Salary + mine site allowance paid as a permanent salary Overtime paid as penalty rates for all work above standard Monday – Friday 38 hour work week $5,000 sign on bonus (Conditions apply) Relocation assistance offered from anywhere in Australia for you and your family Participation in an annual variable compensation (bonus) program Annual remuneration reviews Salary continuance insurance Cummins Employee Discount program – Includes Discounts with select private health insurance, PC software/hardware and a range of vehicles Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms provided and laundered At Cummins, we are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
