Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (30-minute flight from Port Augusta / 60-minute flight from Adelaide)
Roster: 8 days, 6 days off, 7 nights, 7 nights off; we have flights daily to site from Adelaide or 3x per week from Port Augusta, and the best part is travel is 100% in company time.
In this role you will: Remotely monitor, control and optimise equipment (fixed or mobile) to assist in the delivery of planned activities that meet or exceed daily targets for the underground mine. Monitor, analyse and escalate critical system alarms in a timely manner and work with others to rectify. Validate equipment performance and instrumentation on a regular basis. Communicate any tasks that can be opportunely performed in the shadow of planned/unplanned downtimes. Effectively capture data via two-way communications and enter into the appropriate systems. Understand the SOC Technicians role in the management of an emergency/incident. Drive continuous improvement to generate new ideas that will benefit the business. Remain open to multiskilling in other control functions of the Site Operations Centre and project/leadership roles that will help to drive the future capabilities of the SOC. Assist in the training and development of new team members in the SOC and field environments. Provide support/assistance to field technicians and engage with others using HWWT principles. Provide a duty of care to Carrapateena Mining team and stop any job that you feel is unsafe – Reporting it in the first instance to the field Supervisor and SOC Supervisor About YouThis role requires a values-based individual with a desire to deliver best practice outcomes with skills and personal attributes including:
Experience using Fleet management (Pitram) or control systems (Desired) Underground Mining experience / knowledge (Desired)Experience with utilising radio communication systemsMicrosoft Office suite & PC experienceAbility to make timely decisions and work calmly in high pressure situationsInterpersonal skills and ability to work in a teamAbility to address daily changes to meet targetsA safety conscious mindsetProactive outlook with a positive attitude
