NES Fircroft are working along-side a Major Mining Operator seeking a Technical Writer to work with the Engineering team and the Project team on on-going Projects within the Energy space. Job Title: Technical Writer
Working Arrangement: Mon – Fri, 8 hour days
Length of contract: Initial 6 month contract
Location: Redcliffe (near Perth Airport)
Pay Rate: Negotiable
Start Date: ASAP Overview: Work with Engineering, Project Teams and other key stakeholders to gather data for creation or revision of documentation Research and assimilate technical concepts, equipment, and products into technical documentation ensuring usability and concise content Use existing formatting, providing suggestions as appropriate Work closely with team members to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of documents Willing to work with a team of technical writers where needed to support target schedule Develop and maintain documentation hierarchy, content standards, formatting standards, and templates Ensure consistency in approach and format of documentation Improve document usability through content structure, formatting, and proofreading Ensure document control integrity with document revision history content and proper approval workflow routing
Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience as a Technical Writer Able to multi-task and eager to learn new ideas / technologies in a fast-paced environment Translate complex material into Plain English and apply grammatical, syntax and vocabulary improvements to increase readability Diagnose technical issues, provide solutions and continuously improve document designs Proficient in MS Office
