Your new role Our technical specialists here at QBE play a crucial role in the claim's lifecycle – you act as a source of information and guidance to our teams as they navigate claims and technical matters. More specifically you will:
Delivering prompt and effective specialist technical claims advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Work together with the Injury Management Specialist and Service Manager, as the Leadership Triangle, to provide guidance and support to maximise outcomes.
Ensure compliance with all legislation, industry codes and company policies.
Actively monitor developments within the industry to continuously develop knowledge of insurance guidelines, policy changes and modifications.
Identify opportunities to review, develop and modify processes, procedures, standards and guidelines that support innovation, improved performance and improved customer.
 
About you To be a successful Technical Specialist as QBE, you are an effective communicator, who likes to guide and lead colleagues to better outcomes. More specifically, you will:
Extensive experience in a workers' compensation claims role or similar role with an ability to apply your broad knowledge of workers compensation laws and compliance obligations
Demonstrated experience in supporting Case Manager coaching, decision making and technical claims management
Excellent people, communication, written, and networking skills
Demonstrated ability to work towards set targets and compliance measures
